The temple of Siddha Shanidev is located in Kaukila forest, six kilometers away from Koshi in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, the Shanishchara temple is located near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. There is a legend about the Shanishchara temple that in Tretayuga, there is a body of supernatural Shani Dev thrown from Lanka by Hanumanji. It is considered as Siddhapeeth of Shani Dev.
