About Shri Sanwaliya Seth

There is a similar belief that Lord Shri Sawaliya Seth is related to Meera Bai. According to legends, Sawaliya Seth is Meera Bai's Girdhar Gopal, the kind she used to worship. After all, Meera Bai, the grandmother of the Saints-Mahatmas used to travel with these relics in the past. There was one such idol of a saint named Dayaram who had these idols. It is told that when Aurangzeb's army was ransacking the priests, it came to know about the arrival of the Mughal army in Mewar.

Even before the hands of the Mughals, Saint Dayaram, with the inspiration of God, buried these idols by digging a pit under a banyan tree in the raid of Bagund-Bhadsoda. According to legend, in the year 1840, a cowherd boy named Bholaram Gurjar, a resident of Mandafia village, had a dream that three idols of God were buried in the ground in the border of Bhadsoda-Bagund village. When the excavation was done at that place, the dream came true and three identical idols appeared from there. All the idols were very beautiful. This news spread everywhere and the people around started gathering at the place of occurrence.
