Mata's right leg had fallen on the peak of Matabadi mountain in Radhakishorpur village near Udarpur in the Indian state of Tripura. Its power is Tripura Sundari and Bhairav is called Tripuresh. Dakshina-Tripura The grand temple of Raj-Rajeshwari Tripura Sundari is located in Radha Kishore village, three kilometers away from Udaipur city, which falls in the south-west of Udaipur city. Here Sati's southern 'Pada' was settled. The Shakti here is Tripura Sundari and Shiva Tripuresh. This back place is also called 'Kurbhpeeth'. The Shaktipeeth of Tripura Sundari, located in the Indian state of Tripura, is believed to have fallen here. Tripura Sundari Shaktipeeth is one of the unknown 108 and known 51 peeths of India. Goddess Lalita is also known as Tripura Sundari. Shodashi Maheshwari is the deity of Shakti. He has four arms and three eyes. Sixteen arts are complete in these, hence it is also called Shodashi. It is notable that there are many goddesses named Tripura in the Mahavidya community, in which Tripura-Bhairavi, Tripura and Tripura Sundari are particularly notable.

Maharaja Dhanya Manikya founded the Tripura Sundari Temple in the year 1501. It is said that he actually constructed the temple for Lord Bishnu, but later on due to a revelation in his dream, he carried the idol of Mata Tripurasundari which is made up of Kasti stone from Chittagong of Bangladesh and installed it in the temple. It is considered to be one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. According to Hindu Mythology, Peethasthans are those places where the body parts of Devi Sati have fallen. As per “Pithamala Grantha”, Sati’s right foot fell here during Lord Siva’s Tandava Dance. All these information are gathered from the manuscripts of the Temple. But these manuscripts have been destroyed during the course of time. The idol of Devi Tripura Sundari is made of Kasti stone which is reddish black in colour. The idol is of 1.57 mtr. long and .64 mtr width and installed on a stone platform. Devi Tripura Sundari has 4 hands, face is a bit longer, and eyes are comparatively small, standing on the chest of Lord Siva, crowned with golden crown and have a gridlock. The Tripura Sundari Temple is built of the unique architecture of Tripura. The height of the temple is 75 feet, surrounded by 4 huge pillars in four corners of the temple. The root is built up of the Buddhist architectures. At the top of the temple seven pitcher/pots are set up holding one flag. The architecture of the temple is the combination of multi-culture and tradition of the country. The present temple is constructed during the reign of Maharaja Radhakishore Manikya Bahadur. The temple is known to be the congregation of people from different religions and culture. The unique feature of the temple is that people from any religion can offer Puja to Sri Sri Mata Tripura Sundari. During the middle of the 18th century, Samser Gazi has attacked and captured Udaipur. In ‘Gazinama’, the Briography of Samser Gazi, it is referred that Gazi himself had offered puja to Devi Tripura Sundari. The Temple management Committee also comprises of people from various religion, culture and portfolios.
