Special
According to mythology, Goddess Sati gave up her life by jumping into the fire of the havan organized by her father King Daksheshwar. When Lord Shiva was roaming around the earth carrying his body, Lord Vishnu divided his body into 51 parts using his Sudarshan Chakra. Out of those 51 parts, the 'Griva part' of Sati had fallen at this place. All festivals are celebrated at Nandipur Shakti Peeth, especially special pujas are organized on the festivals of Durga Puja and Navratri. During these festivals, some people observe fast (do not eat food) as a mark of respect and dedication towards worshiping God. During festival days the temple is decorated with flowers and lights. The spiritual atmosphere of the temple provides peace to the heart and mind of the devotees.
